Rahman May 6, 2026 **Trieste, 6 May 2025 – illycaffè**, a global coffee company renowned for its sustainable quality and the special relationship it has forged with the world of contemporary art, unveils the new **illy Art Collection** dedicated to the **Biennale Arte 2026**, which shares the same title as the exhibition: “***In Minor Keys”*.** Reaffirming its role as main sponsor of the Biennale Arte 2026, illycaffè once again transforms its iconic coffee cup into a three-dimensional canvas, entrusting it to four artists starring in this edition: the Irish **Alice Maher,** the Cameroonian **Werewere Liking,** the South African **Thania Petersen** and the British-Bangladeshi **Mohammed Z. Rahman.** Four contemporary artists, spanning three different generations, bring to life practices that explore the dialogue between art and everyday life. Their research, though diverse in language, materials and approach, shares strong conceptual coherence and transcends boundaries between art and daily living, offering multiple and complementary perspectives. The intergenerational and intercultural nature of the collection reflects the complexity of the global contemporary audience and fully embraces the vision and themes of *“In Minor Keys”*. Adapting to the intimate format of the coffee cup, each artist retains a distinctive voice, transforming an everyday object into a space for storytelling, memory and imagination. In this sense, the collection embodies illycaffè’s mission: to discover and enhance the extraordinary in daily gestures, turning a routine ritual into a moment of wonder. *“The illy Art Collection dedicated to ‘In Minor Keys’ represents for us not only the continuity of a dialogue with the Biennale Arte 2026, but also a tribute to the curatorial vision of Koyo Kouoh, who conceived this edition as a space for listening, layering and plurality of voices. Through the works of Alice Maher, Werewere Liking, Thania Petersen and Mohammed Z. Rahman, the coffee cup becomes a meeting place between different cultures and narratives, reaffirming our commitment to supporting contemporary art as a tool for awareness and connection,”* says **Cristina Scocchia, CEO of illycaffè**. Each cup interprets *“In Minor Keys”* as a tonal variation: from Maher’s mythical and corporeal dimension to the collective and ritual power of color in Liking, through Petersen’s textile and botanical memory and Rahman’s use of word and image as a political gesture. Together, they create a collection that reflects the plurality of the present and the ability of art to build new imaginaries.
